(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); By cutting, disconnecting the Ring wire in the master socket off your home, you c an increase your internet connection, some cases its alot sometimes its merely .5Mbps

well anyways cutting to the point....

' If you have a telephone extension in your home, that you are using for your router to plug into, and you have a BT NTE5 Master socket with a removable bottom half, by removing your ring wire, you could possibly improve / gain on your broadband speeds from your connection.

Sometimes this ring wire could cause unnecessay interference to your attenuation and give you slightly slower broadband speeds.

The ring wire is only used for the older type of telephones, and as per its name, was used for providing the signal to make your phone ring.

Removing the ring wire is a very simple task to do and is a cheaper alternative, (with sometimes the same results) then purchasing an ADSL Faceplate and subsequently fitting that. '

for a tutorial and more guideance check the source link below, i hope you al lbenefit from this. Please rep/ thanks me etc Smile Lew

This wont work. Our broadband company makes these small boxes that keep you from doing that. So if you try they will know

LOL its called a bell line, no one needs this any more unless you havea dodgey aceint phone, if your house is new and you check it they mostly have 2 lines now thats all they need, some sly broaband isp's actually make a faceplate that does the same job as disconnecting the ' bell line ' just to gain extra money.

please can you explain in great detail HOW they will know! id lvoe to know myself.

whats your company called, because i will be warning my mum if she ever needs something done to her phone line, 'these little boxes' dont seem trust worthy imo

LOOOOOOL

aaaaaaanyways i wouldnt bother listening to him, it does work, try it if you seen no speed increase then theres no harm in reconnecting it. totally up to u Smile

wow lol some shitty company your with then, this info was actually given by a BT broadband phone operator to help someone improve their speeds, and then a link was given from skyusers website, so never mind ay "/

rules are there to be broken, cant let a petty thing like that stop you from benefitting yourself
