Post: Router / Port forwarding.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I already made a thread on this but it was awhile ago I think. My problem is my router won't port forward. I had it working along time ago but it randomly stopped working one day, and now I can not get it working at all. I am trying to set up a port forward for minecraft. Any help would be great!

I have separate TCP and UPD. The reason behind that is that's how I use to have it when the port forward did work. I have tried the other way of having them combined but it's the same result.

What happens is when I finish the details for the port forward and I click accept, there is a box that says Active. When I click it the page reloads and nothing is changed. My router is a SMC8014wn. I was thinking maybe it's the router.

Thank you.

Are you typing in the actual port number or pasting it in? I had a router a while back where if you pasted something in it wouldn't work.

Only other thing I could think of is see if there is a firmware update for your router. Oh and make sure your PC's IP is actually the one you are trying to forward

I type the ip, and I use the ip from cmd, ipconfig. IPV4 I think or V6. I am not sure where I would find a firmware update for the router.

I am assuming this is what you have?
You must login or register to view this content.

If not you can just look it up on that site, they provide the firmware updates.

It is just SMC8014WN no REZ at the end but I'll try the REZ one maybe it is it.

Edit - Just check the REZ one there is no firmware update, nor any drivers. Hmmm.
