In this tutorial I will show you how to make your own snapr 100% free. For those who don’t know what a ‘snapr’ is it’s a thing that allows to share screen shots easily, like puu.sh and gyazo.
Things you will need:
- Internet
- A brain
- An email address (can be any address, must be useable though)
Process:
1. Go to
You must login or register to view this content. and click and the Free Account Signup button on the top bar. Once there fill out all the required details and then press save, details don’t have to be real, except for the email.
2. From there you should be taken to a cpanel, under were it says active accounts it’ll say you currently don’t have an account, next to that, click the create account button. NOTE; Ensure to verify you email first.
3. You will then be taken to a page were it asks you to select a hosting plan, click on the dropdown box, and select free, then click select.
4. After completing the above you will redirected to a new page asking about domains, open a new tab in your browser and go to
You must login or register to view this content. decide on a domain name you would like for your snapr and the extension you would like, and then click the search button to see if its available.
5. If it is available you will taken to a new page with various different options, leave that for now, and return to your other tab which was asking about your domain name (hosting tab), click from sub domain to domain and paste the domain you just decided, make a password, and then click create.
6. Wait for the progress bar in the bottom right to reach 100% and then click view result, the page will refresh and you will now have 1 active hosting account, click the switch button, and your hosting dashboard will open.

On your hosting dashboard, and the accounts menu, click details, under nameserver details right at the bottom you’ll see something that reads; You can also point your domain ("A" DNS record) to this IP: IP ADRESS HERE. Copy the ip address, and head back over to the tap where you were registering your domain.
8. Once there, click from Forward this domain to – to Use DNS. Then paste the ip address you just copied into the 2 ip address boxes. Finish the registration, then scroll to the bottom and click the Register A Free Domain Now button. If you encountered an error when attempting to paste ip address (if you didn’t continue to step 9), don’t worry, just leave it on ‘Forward This Domain To’ and paste any real website into the box and click Register A Free Domain Now button, you’ll then be asked to make an account. Once you have you’ll be redirected to your account home page, on the top bar, click ‘domain panel’ once loading youll see the domain you just registered, click the modify button, click from ‘

omain Forwarding’ to ‘Freedom DNS Service’, leave the type on ‘A Record’, in host name place your domain, and the IP address box, place the IP you copied above, add another one, and do the same thing except this time, place www. In front of your domain, click save and then continue.
9. Head over to
You must login or register to view this content. and download the version of Jing for your operating system. Once downloaded and installed, open it, and click on the preferences button.
10. OPTIONAL. Change your capture hotkey to whatever you like. Mines Ctrl+Shift+4.
11. While still in settings on Jing, click the Customize Buttons button.
12. Click ‘New’, from there click FTP, once there head over to your emails, it’ll probably be in spam, and locate your email from binhoster titled ‘Free Account Activated’.
13. Towards the bottom of the email you’ll find a section titled ‘Uploading your website’.
14. Copy the details under ‘Uploading your website’ over to Jing, and set the directory to /public_html/, your password is the password you used when registering your account. Click test settings to ensure it’s entered correctly, and then were it says clip board contents, change it from none to Custom code. In the image custom return text box enter

15. And You’re done! You have your new snapr, test it by trying a screenshot using your selected hotkey, then click the capture image button, name the photo, then click the FTP button, and the link to the image will be automatically copied to your clipboard.
