(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I'm looking to buy a PC Headset. I'm pretty sure I don't want any more Razer products.

I'm leaning Corsair/Logitech.

My MOBO has 6 audio ports on it, and is capable of 7.1 Dolby Digital.

Looking for something black/blue in color scheme.

Great choice! I've heard good and bad things, but overall I've heard good things. There's not much difference in Corsair vs Logitech other than personal preferences.

So the headset I've linked is a good choice eh?

Lord Linus gave it a pretty solid review...only wish I could actually detach the headset from the cable, but then what would that honestly do.

I've been looking at wireless ones, but then I think about batteries, and I can't be asked to keep up with that.

I can get this headset from Newegg refurbished from the manufacture for 20 dollars off, so I'm considering it.

I don't trust used things, and as far as wireless they can give you a lag and the battery situation, but with batteries you can get rechargeable. But in the end it's always your opinion on it.

While I agree, Newegg only takes Refurb items from the manufacture their self. Should be just like new, minus the retail box, and some warranty...maybe that stuff is worth the extra 20 dollars.

I see your point.

I have the G430 and it's decent. I've had mine for over a year and can't really complain about it.

It only has two audio jacks on it. My mobo has 6 ports. Does the 7.1 really work the way it is claimed to do?

It's no different then any other headset that claims 7.1. It's simulated surround. It doesn't sound horrible.

Personally I just use the USB converter it comes with so I can run some stuff through my headset and the rest through my speakers.

So getting a headset that would occupy all 6 ports wouldn't be an improvement.

I've never seen one to be honest. So if you find one, go nuts.
