Well you could buy a decent computer and put it on top of the mac then run Dayz on it, I believe you'd be running Dayz on your mac then?

Pretty much this. Currently the game does not have MAC support and I wouldn't expect it to, If you want to game I would suggest either installing windows in a virtual machine or dual boot. The other option would be to get a PC.

You can always try wineskin. Just search on google for dayz wineskin. It's pretty much a patch that fools the computer into thinking it's a mac compatible game and allows you to play it. Obviously it's not from the original developers, but it works.

Install windows on your Mac, that would be your best chance of playing dayz.

i have never done it my self but try installing bootcamp, with a version of windows 7 and install steam and dayz from there.
