Post: How To Move Big Files
02-23-2015, 10:07 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey. I have 13 videofiles in a folder, and combined they are the size of 83gb. I need to move these files to my dad's laptop, but here's the problem. My 128gb usb stick has room for the files, but the files are each too big for the file system my usb drive is using. Services like Dropbox, OneDrive, MEGA etc. Ain't no option, because it will take tool long to upload and then download. I don't habe access to an extern hard drive or another usb drive. Any ideas of how to do this?

You can convert a USB device to NTFS without having to format it:
You must login or register to view this content.

However if there isn't anything on the drive to begin with then I suggest just formatting it to NTFS

my guess is the flash is format in fat32, so reformat to ntfs and then try to transfer them again

Your answer is quoted in this post. Also note non-USB 3.0 devices will be SLOW as all fuck at transferring files of those sizes, so give it some time.

Have you tried moving each file individually to the usb? Or have you tried zipping the files to make the files smaller, and then move them to the usb? Smile
