Buy a VPS through BuyVM, you can get one for like $15/year, it's basic and whatnot but it is on OVH's network meaning it's DDoS protected as standard. Plus they have templates for OpenVPN meaning it's super quick and easy to get your own VPN set up.
If you are going to do this, the cheaper option is OpenVZ but if there's a virtualisation type I'd recommend it's KVM. It's just slightly more expensive.

Wouldn't happen to have anything like BuyVM's prices up your sleeve for Australia? I've actually been looking for a new VPN as the VPN I used went under.... I really need a new one. Things are bad in Australia to do with torrenting atm. I would've bought one from BuyVM and used that as a VPN but it's not in Australia

Not as far as I know. I don't think I know any in Aus to be honest.
