(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well this was something I just now noticed on my desktop. I saw a windows icon in the tasktray and when I opened it, I was presented with:

With that said Newegg apparently leaked the release prices as well as the supposed sale date:

I got that a couple days ago and registered my email for it. I'm hoping this will be a good release! Enzo

I also got that on my computer when I booted up and didn't even realize what it was at first. I took my reservation for a free Windows 10 to test out.

No once you upgrade to it, it's yours. It just means that if you don't decide within a year that you want windows 10, then you would have to buy it.

a quick way to upgrade for those who want it and a easy way to bully the non computer smart into buying a OS

I don't think it's a bulling tactic since this is realistically the first time they've done something like this. The only thing I can think of that was close to this was being able to upgrade windows XP and 7 to 8 for $40 for a limited time.
The way I see it, if someone didn't know about it chances are they probably weren't interested in it to begin with. With that said they made it pretty clear on any machine that qualifies that its up to you if you want the upgrade with that program asking if you want to reserve it.

but if you do upgrade and you dont buy it after a year what does it do? go back to what you were on? lock your computer out or make it like it doesnt have a valid key?

You don't have to buy it. You have 1 year after windows 10 is released to upgrade for free. If you don't upgrade within that year then you would be required to buy it.
