Here's what i think. The personal settings is attached or married to your PS3 username. (NOT YOUR ONLINE
ID or anything else). The reason i think this is because today i got another ps3, brand new never been touched. I turned it on setup it up and got to the xmb where i had to create a username. On my other ps3,(the one with the save data) my user name is vphack.
So i went back to the new ps3 and create a username with"vphack" instead. After i copied the personal setting to the new ps3 and loaded up fifa, i got error message. Then i deleted "vphack" username from new ps3. I then created a username on the new ps3 called vphack9 like my old ps3. cThen i copied the personal settings againg to the new name and violla it works. Bare in mind that i have not sign up for PSN account at this time. After scratching my head and re creating new accounts with different names. I realized another thing. After i copied the personal settings from old account to usb, i inserted the usb into my pc. Opened usb, opened PS3 folder, then i opened SAVEDATA folder, then i saw the BLUS??????????? folder. i then thought maybe the BLUS?????????? is attached to your username and not the SYS_Data itself. But heres is how ea fkd us over this year. I realized that If the PARAM or SYS-Data file in the BLUS???????? folder is transfered to another BLUS????????? folder, that personal settings becomes corrupt instantly. In my conclusion, what im trying to say is that. the PARAM and SYS-Data files are attached to the BLUS????????????? folder which is attached to your username.(NOT YOUR ONLINE ID). So if either one of those elements are changed. u get a corrupted file.
