Do you have the upgraded Bale? One option is to replace him with the upgraded Nani. (84), costs around 7k, the same as bale but has better pace and dribbling.
IF Roger Johnson is a good, there are two IFs, the lower one been around 7k, the better one been 15k.
I wouldn't play Van Der Vaart ST, instead i would choose someone like Anelka, he has great pace and shooting, can be picked up for around 4k.
For a CM you want someone who can ping a ball around the park and can rifle a distance shot in the top corners, i suggest Mikel Arteta, he also has a great freekick and costs about 1-2k. IF Charlie Adams rated 80 has great shooting, passing and dribbling.
I don't know which keeper you have but i suggest either Reina or Cech, both great keepers, your preference tbh.
For a CF, there are two great options, either Robin Van Persie rate 85 for 10k or Tevez rated 86 for 20k.

Anymore questions just ask and also the prices are just rough estimates using the database, they may differ in the game.

Thanks for the help, no I don't have the upgraded Bale, all my players are normal ones anyway, I find it hard to save up for any decent amount of coins, how do you do it!? Yeah, i didn't know if you had fifa 11 for PS3 or 360 so i went with the 360 prices. It is easy to save up coins when your DNF gets up to x1.25, get 700+ every game. But if you have a strick budget i recommend Mikel Arteta and Anelka. If you get a good striker, you can bang in the goals and get yourself some nice 200 coins for scoring 4 or more.

How can I increase my DNF modifier, I only leave games when I have to, I'm averaging about 400 coins a game which isn't a lot, how can I increase it :S :y:

Never leave games lol, it will go up everytime you finish a game. To increase you coins per game just dont get cards and dont concede, that will add like 100 coins per game.

Playing Defoe as a CF isn't the greatest of Idea's As he is "vertically challenged"... I'd Invest in somebody like Dzeko, for height & Then Possibly play Defoe as a Striker instead of Van der Vaart.

You convert Van der Vaart to a Central Midfielder, with Bale On his side & Gallas As the centre-back Behind Van-der-vaart to create More Chemistry.

Strangely enough Defoe gets more goals thank VDV, and is very strong on the ball and has a great shot from outside the box :y: saving up for Anelka and maybe Robin Van Persie

Kompany + Rio IMO are the best NIF CB's in the EPL for the money that they are Pacy, Strong and Kompany can't half jump high.
Valencia controlled dribbling and crossing makes him best RM in EPL
Arshavin can shot with his right and cross with his left GREAT PLAYER
Yaya he's a cheap Essien.
Arteta - Class on the ball.
Nasri is just a world beater for me.
Chamak/Anelka ... Chamak is a great header of the ball and Anelka is the best poacher in game GETS ON EVERY REBOUND....

That team 45k !!!!! (xbox prices) but with patience get that team for 28-35k
