After playing a couple matches of Fifa 12, i got to say, i'm not liking this "tactical defending" thing.
i get that they want to make the game more realistic, but it feels like it just slows down the gameplay and makes it less entertaining
obviously we have to get used to it xD. but idk

what are your thoughts?

If you are correct then +1000 internetz for you sir, do you mean we can just hold X down? Because I think tactical defending is awful, it is almost impossible to tackle players on Legendary, so the AI is way overpowered.

there are big problems with tackling as the computer makes ridiculous tackles winning the ball every time without making any contact with the ball(i watched a slowed down replay my guy went from having the ball in front of him one second to it just appearing behing him and then my guy got tripped over but it counted as the computer winning the ball)

I don't understand why ppl hate the new tactical defending, there was no challenge in the old defending

I absolutely hate the new defending.
I was in the top 100 at fifa 09, top 1000 at fifa 10 and fifa 11 I dint play as much, the defense system wasnt flawed at all imo, sure you could just hold the x/a button to defend, but if you are a decent player you would be able to outplay the defender. Now you can just walk through the defense because doing a clean tackle is way too hard. I did win my first few games on fifa 12 but with strange scores like 6-3. I dont feel in control at all whilst defending and I notice my opponents don't aswell.
I like when fifa changes things in newer games but this is just awful imo.

Well said :y: people expect to be amazing with the new defending automatically, at least they have give the game more of a challenge now. All in all from the demo it is looking pretty decent, it can only improve on release.
