(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});I wanted to make a thread to help other people become aware of the main dangers of hacking and scamming, the most popular ways I know of are listed below and hopefully they will prevent more hacking and scamming from occuring in the future for a few people anyway! :fyea::y:
- Never give out your EA email and password to anyone that asks for it.
- Many people will try and obtain your details through methods such as "team duplicators" and "coin generators", these are commonly used methods of scamming but are easily avoidable as long as you keep your personal information to yourself, not even an EA staff member would ask for your password.
-If you are purchasing coins or players off someone (Ultimate Team), stick to using paypal, it is secure, fast and safe. Never send players in the hope of recieving PSN cards off the other person, as 90% of the time they will take the player and you will recieve nothing. And NEVER give anyone your bank account details, e.g. debit/credit card details, pin number etc. (as stupid as that sounds ive heard of many people actually giving those details away.
-Never give your EA account email and password to anyone that claims they can unlock you all the trophies for Fifa 12 or boost your virtual pro. (Boosting is possible but the email and password are not required to do so.
-Never send your account details to anyone that emails you from an external source e.g. hotmail, and asks your for your details. *SCAM*
-Use your own judgement and discretion whilst trading through NextGenUpdate, if a person have very low reputation levels, it does not necessarily mean they aren't trustworthy, however they may not be of much assistance to you and it is a good indicator of who NOT to trade with.
-If someone contacts you externally claiming to be from NGU, ignore the email. If an NGU Mod or member of staff wishes to contact you, they will do so via the website personal messaging service.
-And finally, Weebly phishing websites that look legitimate, but will just wait for you to enter your details before scamming you. *Thanks to SamosFifa for reminding me about this one.*
I know a lot of these seem like very simple and commonly known methods and a lot of people will read this and think "well duhhh." but i just thought it might help even 5 people out of 50. And although im not premium i appreciate the people that took time to read this, and i will become premium soon as i love NGU and im just trying to help as many people as i can out with their issues regarding Fifa and other things, thanks. p.s. dont hesitiate to pm me if you need anymore help :alpaca::y:
Tbh u just done this hoping to get + Rep didn't u? =p I know u won't admit it but u did I didnt read it just knew by seeing how long it was lol
Even if he did do it for rep I'm sure it could help prevent somebody from getting scammed in future. There are scamming methods in that list that some people will not be aware of.
