(1 messi in reserve and 1 in starting 11)
(1 pique in subs and 1 in starting 11)

1.Create the team up to the squad
2. fill in most of the squad
3 go straight to save and save as draft
4.once saved re edit the team.
5. go back to find players and add the duplicate player to your team

This isnt just for show. It works in game as well.
Every time I've tried this it has worked.
