I have tried that on my PS3, the disk drive is busted also. For some reason the patch transfers, but the mods don't work. Maybe its something with putting a patch on the ps3 using FTP or maybe I'm just a dumbass.

I've tried different patches, and different methods of troubleshooting but it turned out to not work. Just a warning to those who want to use it for modded lobbies.

Are you sure you did everything correctly?

Cause I don't want to sell a PS3 to people that doesn't do anything at all.

I honestly can't say much about it. I think I tried it thoroughly, but then again I might have missed something critical. I don't want to be giving false information, but that is just my experience. You might want to post in the thread someone linked on page 1 and see if anyone has done it successfully.

Alright, Well I will try it once I get my jailbreak device, and if it works then I will try and sell it, but if it doesn't then I guess its toast.

Did you get a modded patch on the up-to-date PS3 without a working BD drive? It was really frustrating to guess and check when I tried it 2 months ago.
