Tethered Jailbreak Proccess

iPhone 4.2.1 Firmware- You must login or register to view this content.
Download the firmware that says 4.2.1 iPhone 4

redsn0w 0.9.6b4 Mac Version- You must login or register to view this content.

1. Download the firmware and redsn0w. When you download the the firmware it should be an ipsw. If its not an ipsw and its a zip PM me.

2. Connect your iPhone to your computer.

3. Open redsn0w as administrator (this is just to prevent errors)

4. "Browse" the firmware you download (must be an ipsw)

5. Press next and it will show u a list of options, untick EVERYTHING except Install Cydia.

6. Press Next and it will say to turn your iPhone off.

7. Once the iPhone is off press next and follow the instructions, basically you will be making your iPhone go into DFU Mode.

8. At the end of the steps it will say "Let go of the power button and keep holding the home button" KEEP holding the home button for the whole proccess. It will help the jailbreak go smoother.

9. It will start installing the jailbreak data, this will take time. You wil then see a walking pineapple on your screeen. This means its working.

10. When you open your iPhone test your Cydia. It will be white which is normal. If cydia crashes when you try open continue to the next steps.

Booting Tethered Mode Proccess

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer/laptop.

2. Open redsn0w again and browse for the same firmware.

3. When it comes to the options untick everything except "Boot Tethered Mode Now"

4. Turn off your iPhone and follow the same steps as before.

Untethered Jailbreak

*Just incase take your sim card out.

Download redsn0w 0.9.7b4- You must login or register to view this content.

Download firmware 4.2b3- You must login or register to view this content.

1. Connect your iPhone to your computer.

2. Open redsn0w 0.9.7b4

3. Browse the 4.2.1 Firmware.

4. Click Next and untick everything except "Jailbreak Monte" and then open the 4.2b3 Firmware.

5. Click next and turn your iPhone off.

6. Press next and follow the steps on the screen.

7. Wait a while and when the screen comes up open Cydia.

8. You should see the SHSH up near the top-
