U can play without access. I just I don't know if I can download American iPad apps with Canadian account

I have no clue about the store, but just to let you know, one way to use the card without having to create a new acc is as follows: If you have an iTunes acc with a US region atm, I believe you can change it to Canada which will allow you to use the card on your acc, but once you redeem the card you can't change the region back to US until all the "Canadian" funds are used up. Oh and if you have any funds on your acc atm you can't change the region until all those funds are used up.
