Just letting you know you'll be getting the downside of this deal
A broken blu-ray can be repaired for $80 (if you have the original PCB board, and it is still working properly)
If it's a laser, or hardware problem other than the PCB, you can buy a whole new drive for $80.
Take your blu-ray apart
Take the PCB from your blu-ray out
Put the original PCB in the new drive
Put the drive together
Put it back in the PS3
You'll have a working blu-ray drive then :y:
