Let me exaplin this better; would you say a 50%, 60%, or 70% was a shit mark for your exam?

I got a 71% on my history exam(woohoo), and 70% on my English exam(pretty good actually).

My mom thinks other wise. Clearly a 71% & a 70% just doesn't cut it. I'm getting like an 80%+ in every single one of my classes, yet my mom begs to differ. She says it's "completely shit".

I'm happy with my grade, she should too.

Let me put it into a different perspective; last year my final average was 84.6%.. She WASN'T happy.

Well,anything which is a fail or under what you are supposed to achieve to pass would be considered a fail exam score?

Used to be below an 80 in highschool was bad. Now if its above a 70 I'm super happy

Im happy with at least a C

Anything below 90 is crap for my parents and that's not good for them it has to be atleast 95 and up

I'm not sure about the USA or Canada

But 70% here in UK is an A grade in most subjects

When I did my studying, I would get praise from the teacher for getting anything above 70& because it would be an A

All A*'s in my predicted grades so anything under that and its classed as a fail :S. The percentage boundaries vary each year and each subject. e.g. R.E. = 90% A*. This years maths boundary was 76% A* hahaha xD
