I'm new to Borderlands, so, don't know much about it at all

Start with Borderlands 2. Tps is a dumb down version of Borderlands 2. The claptastic dlc was good though.

I love that song. Its really catchy.

You should play the first one. It's not as pretty as 2 or TPS but it's still fun.
