(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); There are rumours going around that Portsmouth FC will have to stop trading because of financial troubles. They more than likely won't go into administration first because it will be HM Revenue and Customs who they owe money. HM Revenue & Customs have the powers to force a company to stop trading with immediate effect. Premier league rules state that if a club is unable to complete the fixture list their results will be expunged for the league table. This means the table could look like this:

NOW GP GD PTS
Chelsea 25 +40 58
Man U 25 +41 56
Arsenal 25 +30 49
Liverpool 25 +17 44 <<
Tottenham 25 +20 43
Man City 23 +13 41
Villa 24 +13 41

GP GD PTS
Chelsea 25 +39 55
Man U 25 +33 50
Liverpool 25 +19 44 <<
Arsenal 25 +24 43
Tottenham 25 +19 40
Man City 23 +10 35
Villa 24 +11 38

This could be a very good thing for Liverpool. Our season could be saved just from this. As much as I want to see Liverpool be higher up the table, I really hope Pompy get out of this.

There seemed to be plenty of rich Arabs interested in City... Expect one of those popping up soon.

Yeah that was the problem in the first place. Since they have been sold though, none of their new owners are willing to pile the cash in to bail them out. They're mental in my opinion, Premier league football is a cash cow. Say he piles 30 million into the club that he got for around 20 million he's laughing. Premier league clubs have turnovers of well in excess of 100million.

Are you high?
premier league is big business i know myself being a fan of chelsea an going to all the home games how expensive it is to keep up with the prices, but for the little teams just getting a slot in the prem is worth 20-30 million before they have even kicked a ball, its such a huge amount of money, which is why teams like portsmouth try an spend money to make sure they get that amount of money every year cause the money u get in the championship is probley 1-2 million if that, i hope they dont get the 10 points taken off them as it basicly means they are down even at this early stage
