Hard to pin point one, but I get a lot of nostalgia from games like Snake Rattle 'N Roll, Bubble Bobble, and Metroid on the NES. That is where my earliest memories of gaming come from.

First game I ever actually played to completion was probably like Super Metroid, Super Mario Bros, or Donkey Kong Country.

Nothing To See Here
Used to play on my stepdad's Commodore 64 but no idea what any of the games were.

Later, the Zork series, Lightspeed and Star Trek: 25th Anniversary on our old 286. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing when I was forced to. Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, but the "Where in Time" one was better. Honestly don't remember which of those came first. Probably Zork. I probably spent hundreds of hours playing Lightspeed and its follow-up, Hyperspeed (pick it up on Steam or GOG).

First NES game was Super Mario at my neighbors' house, starting around Christmas of 1985. That little redneck only wanted to play Duck Hunt, though.

Hey, great topic! I totally relate to that nostalgic feeling. For me, it's gotta be the original "Super Mario Bros." on the NES. I remember being blown away by the colorful worlds and catchy music. My cousins and I would spend hours trying to beat Bowser and save the princess. It's funny how those early games, despite their simplicity, had such a huge impact. The first game I actually completed was "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" on the SNES. The epic story and exploration were mind-blowing at the time! It's amazing how these classic games still hold up today. What a great time to be a gamer!
