Well, if you only care about the top 4 seeds, then they really aren't that bad. Any team with Shaq and King James has a shot at winning it all, as do the Magic and Celtics, if either can get healthy and/or make a decent trade.
Top to bottom, the West is much much better, but top 4 vs top 4, I think the East might have a reasonable shot.
