You should really weigh up why you want a ps3 before you get one. Like if you play with friends alot then the xbox is better. If you just want a pure gaming machine then the PS3 wins it hands down.

I have both systems. I've played both systems.

PS3 is the one I play 98% of the time. I like the controller better. There are arguments for both controllers, but for me the PS3 just feels better. The analog sticks seem to have more prescision.

the 360 UI is far superior to the PS3. xbox has the cool avatars, layout is better and community events are cool. Cross game chat is nice. the only disavantage of the 360 UI is the on screen keyboard. It's not a QWERTY keyboard and it drives me nuts.

XBL fee drives me nuts too. I can't really stand paying the monthly fee to game. It just seems like wasted dollars to me when I have the ability to play for free. Both consoles have their pros and cons. I'd weigh them out before trading everything to find out you don't like the PS3. If you have a friend that has one, play a few hours on it and build your pro/con list.

If most your friends have a ps3 then get one. Every game is far better when playing with friends.

i have a ps3...so u should get one. free online, internet accsess for lazy ppl, a store with $ not points, ps3 is cooler, there is a fat heavy obese one and a slim one...blue tooth compatible with almost anything that uses blue tooth (no cell phones) witch can save money on a mic and built in wireless saves u $100 (xbox wireless adapter is around there) free multiple accounts, and little big planet!

PS3 is just the way to go and also a majority of the people on this website play PS3. It is just better and cheaper in the long run and maybe short run.
