it shows the bible, and it turns out he is reading brail, (idk how to spell if, if somebody could post a comment telling me how to it would be greatly appriciated[<-- also that word too])

so back to the question

i think he was blind, thats why he was reading brail, and at the end it zooms in on his eyes and they are foggy, which leads me to believe he is blind...

but my dad thinks he can just read brail heres why:

in that one town when the guy told him to Shoot Eli, there was a guy at the very back and Eli, points his gun back and shoots him and he dies, now how could he do that if he wasn't blind


so i believe that God was telling him where to shoot, and thats how he did it all and he could hear hella good...


so please no flaming and screaming and arguing, its just a simple question, so please tell me what you think ;o

I agree with you I think he was blind. Plus it's a movie so they can shoot behind them either way lol

At the beginning he chopped the guys hand off, killed everyone flawlessly, then said, "I told you you weren't getting this back, pushs the chopped off hand away then checks all the dead bodies for what he needed. Those are pretty hard tasks for a blind person to perform flawlessly.

Thats what the movie producers wanted you to think. Nice job.

I still think the movie was BS. The part I liked was when that leader said, "the book is used for manipulation and control for the weak minded"

he's blind

Remeber when he was talking to the lady about being blind, and he asks "Did you become blind from the Flash?" (something like that). Then he talks about how people became blind when they first came out after the Flash.

The point of the movie is "God is Real" (or to me thats what the point was)

This was a GREAT movie, and I reccomend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet, religious or not.

Back to the point, I believe Eli was blind, and I believe that was the entire point of the movie. I've seen it twice, so the second time I could check and see if everything was consistent with him being blind, and it was.

I think he is. And I think that is the main point of the movie.
He said he kept the book (bible), buried it I think, or whatever so people couldn't get rid of it.
So why would he keep a bible for blind people, or even have one. He must be blind.
Also ironic how the other blind person is that abused wife, and she doesn't read it :p.

And yeah it's a movie. The movie people will make anyone do anything in the movie, even have a blind person know where everything is and kill over 20 people.

Braille and appreciated lolz, or maybe he was blind when he was a kid and his parent had the braille bible so he could learn how to read. Maybe his family was rich and he had a surgery to get his eyes fixed but he still could understand braille.
