(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); There has been alot of talk about "beta" versions of games. You will find people discussing this in the Little Big Planet section COSad AwesomeWAW section, and many more.

Some people will ask what a beta is, other are just too shy and want to fit in with the crowd. So to those people who don't ask what a beta is, but still wonder, this is for you.

What is a beta?

A beta is pretty much a trial version of a game. The version is still not perfected and has a chance of being changed before the game is release. Randomly chosen gamers are emailed the beta code so they can play the beta game. Not every game has a beta. That is because the developers want to see the glitches the players will find, this is so they can fix it before the release. Games such as Fifa or PES have no betas since they are soccer games and many glitches are found in those games.

What is a beta code?

A beta code is a code emailed to you by the game developers. This code must be entered in a certain place depending on whether you own a xBox 360 or a Playstation 3.

For the Playstation 3:

1. Go to (on PS3) Account Management > Transaction Management > Redeem Promotional Code
3. Input code
2. Begin downloading beta

For Xbox 360:*

1. Log into Xbox Live with your gamer profile
2. Access Xbox Live Marketplace through the Xbox 360 Dashboard
3. Click Redeem Code
4. Enter your Xbox Live Marketplace Token when prompted
5. Start the download

*Someone please confirm this is correct

How do I get a beta Code?

There are many ways to acquire a beta code. You can apply for beta codes at the official website of the game, enter competitions in hope of winning the prize, pre-order the game or you can just ask a friend.

Hope that helped you guys out.

Wow before you post something this ignorant check some threads which have people asking what a beta is. Instead of me having to reply to every person I just made this thread. I really don't know what you have against my threads, just because they don't help YOU out doesn't mean they don't help other people out.

So please before you post something like this on another one of my threads think about other people and not just yourself. Like I've said many times, I'll take constructive criticism, but all other posts like this one will not get me to believe that this thread is not helpful.

In my opinion you are doing this to be a rebel. It doesn't make you stand out just makes you look ignorant. And just so you know I'm not trying to start any type of argument just pointing out some valid points.
