If you haven't heard, the NFL changed the overtime rules(for the playoffs) at thier competition comittee meatings yesterday in Dallas. The team that loses the coin toss in overtime now has a chance to win the game as long as they do not allow the opening drive in OT to end in a touchdown! That's right. If the team that wins the coin toss drives down the field and only kicks a field goal(or does not score at all), the oposing team has the opportunity to drive the field and either win the game with a touchdown, or keep the game going by a tieing field goal, or obviously lose as they do not score. It seemed a bit silly but now as I think about it, I can not wait until they decide to put this in to the regular season. As it stands right now this only applies to the playoffs.
