Am currently doing a research project on the bill. I support it. This is partially because I'm democrat, but also because I think the good definitely outweighs the bad when it comes to this bill.
The law will provide affordable coverage to people who do not currently have it, and will put an end to the Hollywood portrayed scene in which a sickly man is turned away due to failure to mention a pre-existing condition. It will also ensure that people who are insured can stay insured if they move, change their job, or even become unemployed.
It will also give the government the right to crack down on insurance companies who are rising prices unfairly, and treating people unfairly.
Along with that, seniors will benefit from some of the tax increase for those who receive income of $500,000-$1,000,000 year (1% increase), and those who choose to remain uninsured, who will be taking a 2% tax increase.
Of course, like with anything, things can go wrong, but this is an end to a long fight in which the Democratic Party has fought to reform health care in the United States.
The first person to attempt this was my absolute favorite president, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
