(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok i'm pretty sure school aren't allowed to make a fake account to spy on students.

I'm in year 10 and my form tutor was like you have to have high privacy on facebook to everyone in my form so pedophiles can't access it.

Yet they make a fake account called Friends of bishop stopford (my school is called bishop stopford) and everyone knows its teachers yet they carry on to deny it. The account adds everyone from my school i ignored it.

There is a kind of war going on between this year 10 crew and year 11 crew. And we made a group on facebook of our group and we took a picture in the toliets of us swearing and put it as the profile picture of the group cause the year 11 crew basically thought that was their terrority.

The next 2 days i get called in with the others in the photo to the deputy heads office and get shouted at by 3 teachers holding the photo and get suspended and have 2 detentions. I was gonna say how did you get that photo? but i knew i would get even more done.

Are teachers allowed to look at students facebooks?

if the student adds the teacher or the privacy isn't set super high, then its all fair game.

In the UK it is illegal for teachers to socialise with other students over facebook and other networking sites due to the possiblility of them telling them about exam answers, finding out about their social life etc...

My teachers have facebook but do not add students any groups that relate to the school are made by students and there are quite a few teacher hate groups on facebook though I've joined a few but there personal for instance "Mr....... is a shit teacher". I've only ever heard of one instance where a student has got into trouble for joining a group and it was one I was a member of but only one student got in trouble.

The teachers would just say a student turned in the photo or some shit whenever something happens though

You should of said where did you get the photo from, see what they had to say then. If you don't have your high school set as your high school, they can't bollock you.

In the US, I don't know if it's illegal, but a teacher at my high school got fired for having a myspace and socializing with his students. I have another teacher who found a loophole and made a fan page for his class and it's all fair game. Either way, don't post anything online you don't want EVERYONE to see.
