(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); MANCHESTER UNITED have begun the search for their next manager after Alex Ferguson told the board: "One more season and I'm out."

Fergie will go in the summer of 2011, six months before his 70th birthday.

So the question is who do you think will be next man utd boss?

Here's to Loonyology!
There's loads of possibles that could fill the void!

José Mourinho - the obvious choice, but unlikely to happen as his contract at Inter Milan runs out this summer and he does not wish to carry on, also he wants to come back to English football. Now the logical choice would be for him to go to Liverpool or Chelsea, as Rafa is under massive pressure, and Ancelotti's contract is up in the summer.

Louis Van Haal - has done a brilliant job with Bayern, and his tactical knowledge is well respected. He is on a long term contract with Bayern as it stands, but i'm sure a tempting offer to Man Utd would give him food for thought!

David Moyes - everyone has seen the immense job he's done at Everton with very little resources. God only knows what he'd be capable of with the funds and facilities Man Utd have. He would be a top candidate in my choice, as i'd like to see a British manager at possibly the top club in Britain.

Steve Bruce - is a massive fans favourite at Man Utd, and achieved a whole load while captaining the team in the 90's along side Pallist at the back. Although i think it's come too early for him, he is definitly a future candidate.

Martin O'Neill - would be a decent choice of manager, although i don't believe he has enough about him to be the forefront of a club like Man Utd. He's a very quiet and humble man, and i think Utd will be looking for someone with that fire and presence on the touch line.

Guus Hiddink - is with the Russia squad i believe. He's a possible after what he did at Chelsea, and i'm sure he will be in the mix come that time.

To be honest though, i don't think Fergie will retire at the end of next season. I'm sure he has said he'll go on until his health deteriates, which isn't happening anytime soon me thinks!

yeah hes man united reserve team manager - hes just won the league for the first time in 5 years - the hardest job in football probably - he doesnt have the same team everyweek - wen fergie has a injury he tells OLE i need 4 players on standby - its crazy the job he does - i think he'd do veryyyy well at top tier managment - then he would have a squad where he could do wateva he wanted

Im a Villa fan but i think it'll be Steve Bruce... great manager and united legend. Makes amazing things happen from shit situations. He deserves a chance at a big club....

If not him, maybe Roy Hodgson.
