Bristol, United Kingdom (AHN) - A man in Bristol, England, hid the body of his dead roommate under his couch for 10 years because he feared he would be evicted.


Alan Derrick, who is mentally challenged, told a housing inquest that his drinking buddy, 73-year-old Denis Pring, had been staying with him at his public housing apartment. One day, probably between April and June 1998, Pring died suddenly.

Derrick, who neighbors say is in his 60s, was afraid he would be kicked out of his apartment if authorities found out Pring was living with him.

Neighbors complained about the smell, but an inspection of the apartment chalked it up to an overflowing toilet.
Pring’s body wasn’t discovered until 2008, after Derrick moved out.

Umm wow, wouldn't it start to really reak like after a week of decomposing, let alone 10 YEARS??? Wow epic fail on the polices part.

Leave it up to British folk not to find a body for ten years. :rolleyes:

But in all seriousness that's disgusting, he needs to be in a mental home.
