As We Know that IW and Activision is having their problems. IW Employees file Lawsuit Against them. The group is after a large amount of money that Activision owes them.

"Activision owes my clients approximately $75 million to $125 million dollars," said Bruce Isaacs, one of the IWEG's attorneys at Wyman & Isaacs LLP, over the phone this afternoon.

Activision has paid some Employees extra money to stay. So they could finish Modern Warfare 3. According to the Law Suit. $28 million has been delivered to Infinity Ward employees for bonuses related to Modern Warfare 2, but the suit alleges at least $54 million is still due from 2009 profits alone.

But IWEG want's much more than 54$ million. They have their eye's set on $75 million and $125 million.

Unpaid bonuses from 2009 and 2010 sales generated by

  • Modern Warfare 2 -- fourth quarter 2009 and first quarter 2010, specifically.
  • Bonuses "due and owing to them" past first quarter 2010.
  • "Bonus/royalty/profit participation" related to "technology/engine" royalties, "other special performance bonuses," "other studio bonuses" or "any other bonus/royalty/profit participation."'
  • Lost value on "restricted stock units" that Activision "promised" would vest (read: own it in your own name and purchase it from Activision) when Modern Warfare 2 sales eclipsed Modern Warfare 1, which "has long ago occurred."
  • Money owed as it relates to Modern Warfare 2 "sister games, including but not limited to" the oft-mentioned Modern Warfare 3, "if Modern Warfare 3 is ultimately delivered and marketed."
  • Interest rates related to the above sums of money.

Modern Warfare 3 Has been talked about by Zampella, West, Activision. And the are fighting over right's for this yet again in this lawsuit. Activision is forcing the IW employees to finish MW3.

"At least in the additional amount of $75 million to $500 million as an award for punitive damages," continues the lawsuit, citing a number calculated from the blockbuster sales of Modern Warfare 2 and "Activision's net worth."

I Think that it's Activision's duty to pay the Employees the amount of money that they owed them. What are your guy's thought's?

thankyou god...
instead of blaming iw and its ex-employees lets blame the actual cause of all the general suck-age of the call of duty series
its activisions fault for the over priced map pack
their fault for rushing MW3
their fault for mw3 sucking (most likely) when it is out
i am sorry but im losing faith with activision completely

I read this article in the LA times last night, good post about it.

I really hope West & Zampella are able to maintain the IP of MW title, but hopefully if they come out with a third installment it won't suck like MW2 does...

Maybe this is what they expected Modern Warfare 3 to be? More like a cold war between the two companies, I guess just break the popcorn out! Happy

MW3 is probley gonna be rushed like Payne said. But as soon as it comes out people will drop MW2 and go straight for it because its called MW3 but I feel it will be a big disappointment to MW2 if it's already in production and they are trying to finish it already...
