As you may already know Sony is losing the TV competition to its two rivals Panasonic and Samsung. Panasonic have started the sale of NeoPDP Televisions which are 600Hz while on the other hand Sony's other rivals Samsung have started the trade of LED Televisions. Furthermore even Sony is losing to LG Electronics another company which has overwhelmed Sony over this past year through its sheer price of its Televisions.
Sony is already behind the three rival companies and so is looking for a comeback... Sony has started developing Televisions using Intel and Google to help produce them and Blu-ray DVD players with Internet access. In addition another fact is that Intel wants to get a bigger and better range of products as it wants to use its chips in mobile phones etc.
Intel is working on a customized version of its Atom chip; this chip will run a new version of Google's Android operating system called Dragonpoint. Looks like Intel and Google are atrting some partnership, eh? Nevertheless the Sony Blu-ray players/set-top boxes boxes/TVs will run the Android operating system. In addition Logitech have started to make a special remote which looks quite like a keyboard.
Do you think this could revolutionize television? Also do you think these televisions will outcast 3D?
