2012= 20-12= 8 If you google 8 you get a wikipedia page for May 8th. May=5th month of the year. May 8th= 58. 58 BC was known as Year of the Consulship of Piso and Gabinius. So whether it'll happen or not depends on Piso and Gabinius, whoever they are.

It is interesting why the Mayan calendar stops on that date in particular. Perhaps they thought it to be something else, like another event on that date. Or maybe their civilization died before they could continue their calender. Whatever the case, I do not believe the world will cease to exist on December 21st, 2012.

the world might not end but i think some giant natural disaters will happen . 11 earthquake in 4 months , hurricane season is coming and i dont think this oil spill is gonna help
