(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just watched a film called 'Crash', which was centered around racism in the States. I assume it isn't that bad in reality, but is it bad over there? With it being so large I always imagined that there were such diverse communities, although I have heard of the views of those in the South.

So, where is racism most prominent? Europe or the US?

lol.. theres no such thing as a colored only school. Those are "historically black colleges" and any race can go to them. Maybe with a title like that it may sway other races away..but don't act like African Americans haven't been oppressed for decades..at one point those were the only schools blacks could go to... but segregation is over. As for funds/grants/scholarships... the only reason why African Americans are singled out in terms of certain funds are because most African Americans dont win certain scholarships.. scholarships that they are much more qualified than their white counter parts that win it because of daddy's contributions.. The NAACP and organizations like that help African Americans, just like certain clubs help White Americans.

Its more prominent in the US

FYI.. its just as bad as what you saw on that movie.. people like the character played by Sandra Bullock exist. And people like the characters played by Ludacris and Lorenz Tate also exist.

Sorry for triple posting.. but they just added a new law in Arizona that allows cops to stop anyone who they THINK could be an immigrant..lmao what kind of shit is that.

I do undesrtand that people like that exist, but they were showing you the extremities of racism. It isn't suggesting that every American citizen is like that, and that is what I am asking, how prominent is it.

ok.. im sorry, misunderstood.

Take Ludacris and Sandra Bullocks characters.. the stuff that he says goes through a lot of African American minds and the stuff that she did in the presence of an African American happens all of the time. That movie didn't show extremities, it showed actual everyday life made to look like racism at its worse, when in reality that was nothing compared to what really happens in the US..lol

Racism is so prominent in America.. that its just expected.

Im African American and im not racist at all, but when i go online on my xbl..lol i just expect for a white guy to call me a ******... because its just the way it is, i expect that when walking past a white female.. she makes sure her purse is on the side of her opposite me.. its sad... but thats life.

But i dont get angry about it because i can see it from both sides.. maybe she did get robbed by a minority sometime in her life.. or saw someone else get robbed by one.. or saw it on the news. Cant fault her for being "cautious"..lol

its a vicious cycle and i think it will stay prominent in the US till the end because its kind of tolerated.
