I have a little of a dilemma...i have to make it clear a ps3 with a hdmi cable to my television, so lets say 2 hdmi outputs and 1 cable.

Now i want to record gameplay (footage) from my ps3, and i bought a laptop with a hdmi output too. Now i read something about a hdmi splitter so i put the splitter in my ps3..and the 2 cables in my tv and in my computer.

Before i buy the splitter, i want to know, DO i need ANYTHING MORE to capture my gameplay? like a computerprogram or something.

For one you need a hd pvr, or a black magic or somthing like that.
