I wonder how it will fair out against their friendly on 24th of may against Mexico , who have a strong side.

No Micah Richards from Man City... shame. That still looks like a very good squad though.

Missing the likes of Jagielka, Richards and Lescott I don't really see why Carragher was included when he's only had an average season. We're f***ed for right backs unless Caragher can be versatile enough to play on the right, Johnson isn't good enough imo. Nice to see King and Dawson in the team, both have played well this season, I don't really see the need for inclusion of Huddlestone and Johnson doesn't have much experience, although of what i've seen of him, he is a good player. Glad, Joe Hart was included hopefully he'll start ahead of James and Green.
As for strikers, it looks good, Carlton Cole thankfully wasn't included after the shocking season he's had, Bent's played well all season, Crouch has a good record for England but he won't start ahead of Heskey I doubt, who I don't feel is particularly good.

This prelimenary squad will be cut down to 23 who will travel to the world cup, and Cappello will try out the 30 man squad in two friendlies to see who goes.
