(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I bought Battlefield: Bad Company 2 last week. Prior to this, I bought MW2on the release date. This means my last game that was bought before BC2 was around 6-7 months. That's a long ass time.

I have a job. A part-time job on the weekends(I'm only 15) and I get roughly $120 a weekend. I work 12 hours over 1 weekend, and 1 game costs around $70 bucks. That means 7 hours of working which means I'll have 50 bucks left. Remember, this is all just one weekends worth of money.

My mom is crazy; she let me go out and buy BC2, and bitched me out that it's a waste of money. I like the game, but SHIT Red Dead Redemption looks irresistible. I ask my sister to drive me today to get RDR and my mom called her and asked what she was doing. Knowing my sister, she told my mom that I was going out to get another game. Before my sister got home my mom told her "no, your not driving him".

First off- 1. not her money I'm spending 2. how does it affect her if I buy the game? 3. why does she care?

It's my money, it's for my own purpose.. She doesn't even get pissed at my sister for buying a $1,100 macbook pro which is like soo much work to try and earn that. PLUS the fact that she already has a laptop, it's kinda messed up but it works and it gets the job done. She purposely goes to limewire and ****s it up with viruses as an excuse to buy this mac. I try spending $70 bucks and I get BITCHED out.

IS THIS ****ING FAIR? Jesus my mother is the hardest person to persuade. It's incredible how thick-headed she is.

Dude, she's trying to help you. Trust me, I'm 17, so around your age, and almost off to college. My whole life my parents have stressed to save my money, and their whole life they've saved their money. I've always listened to them because of how well it turned out for them. I'm assuming you want to go to college, and unless you are lucky enough to have your parents pay for that you're gonna have to pay for it yourself, and that's a huge financial burden, and every penny counts.

I'd trust your mom's judgement, it sounds like your sister is older, and your mom probably feels like she can't have your sister live under her rules anymore, but she is only trying to help you. Trust me, I'm starting to realize that saving your money is a lot more important once you get into the college time.

If you want Red Dead Redemption try selling MW2, and maybe one other game and then use that to go and buy it. I'm sure your mom wouldn't have a problem with that since you are taking initiative and finding a way to get something you want by sacrificing something else.

Good news my boys. I never really that what I did in the past would help but; my brother about a 7 months ago collected all his bad PS3 games that he hated and like my nintendo gamecube and shit and also MY Uncharted 2. So basically, he ended up taking it to EB Games and he traded it all in to get a shit load of points on his EB Games card. He bought MW2 and has close to enough left to buy another game- RED DEAD REDEMPTION!

Ye boys.

IT'S your money. Legally, they cant tell you how to spend it. They can neglect to take you or let you play it but legally you can buy it.

She's trying to get you to spend it on something other then video games. My mom is almost the same way(not as bad, doesn't really yell/virus up the laptop) but she does tell me that I could buy something else with that money. It is your money, she probably just wants you to spend it on something else.
