If the forces leave then the Taliban would just go into the major cities and **** it all up again. They don't want school, hospitals, doctors and so on making Afghanistan a really really ****ed up place to be. Also, out troops are keeping the majority of the terrorists away from UK and USA. If they wasn't their, then we would be bombed a lot more than we are now. Plus, if we pulled out now, all the soldiers who died would have died for no reason at all. We haven't won, and haven't no where near won, meaning that the deaths would be for nothing. What's the point in having thousands of troops killed for **** all? Yes, more will die on the way, it's inevitable, but when we win, their deaths and sacrifices won't be for nothing.
I agree.
I think it should be a violent, brutal war. Screw the Geneva convention; do you really think the terrorists follow the Geneva convention? No. If they don't, then why should we? The rules of engagement against the enemy are outrageous- If the enemy shoots at our troops from a civilian residence or a mosque, then we can't fire back, even though they are shooting at us, which is complete BS. The quickest way to end a war is to make it harsh and violent. General William T. Sherman said make war hell on the enemy's people, and they will get sick of it. They will revolt and will force their government to stop.
