(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was wondering if I do a front squat and add like 100lbs to my back using a weighted vest is it possible to twist or pull a muscle in my lower abs AND have it feel partially like a bad stomach ache? Basically its nice as hell today and I just woke up from resting(3pm) as this morning I woke up with a sharp pain in my lower core and after cutting my lawn this morning Ive been in some pretty bad pain.

I don't think its a stomach ache but it hurts when I stand up to look at food and it hurt to even think about eating or lifting so I just rested.

Ive tried everything for a stomach ache from tums, medicine and other resides.

I know squats do heavily engage the core but really is all of this pain possible?

Well if it is I will watch out next time and damn I got to eat a lot(didn't eat much today due to pain) but I cant stand to look at the fridge..

Well it's hard to tell if you're suffering from pain from your muscles, or if its some sort of stomach problem. You could just have some sort of virus, several people I know have had stomach viruses within the passed week or so. You should try eating something like crackers, and see how you feel. Starving yourself is never good even when you're sick.

Then you might try some icey-hot? Might help the muscles loosen up and feel at least a little better. Hope you feel better bro.

Yeahh I would say so because doing to much physical exercise can cause real bad muscle tears ect ..

The pain could coincide with some virus you had that is just starting right when you hurt yourself doing squats. I doubt that though, lol. I'd probably guess you did some bad movement or something, or the weight was too heavy for you and you tweaked a muscle. All you really can do is try and eat like you normally would to keep up and not starve yourself (this is where you just have to deal with the pain, you can't starve yourself) and then switch between applying heat and ice.

the pain is because your building muscle, u build muscle by ripping muscles then "new" muscles gro in the rip therefor making you stronger

take a break for 2 or 3 days then go back to it and every time you do it gets easyer and easyer

if you over exercise the ripped muscle turn to scar tissue. yes it makes you muscles bigger but not stronger so take a break

when u "feel the burn" do 1/4 of the weight u had on before, thats the time you build muscle the fastest, it doesent matter how much you carry it how many times you can do it

example, i start off with a 70 k/g 1 arm then feel the burn and switch down to 20 or 30 kg you build muscle without hurting yourself

use a heat pack and not an ice pack if u must, but to be honest just deal with the pain

I know how to lift and workout thanks, this is quite un-common for me to be in this much pain for lifting, I do a 5x5 3 day a week workout with a little running or cardio in between. Its odd it happened like 24 hours after so I actually might have gotten some stomach sickness.

I didn't really eat all day(until now 8pm) but I am just eating a good dinner with two things of some marinated chicken to boost up my protein intake for the day. Really I think its just a coincidence and I probably just ended up eating a bad egg yesterday and now this is happening. Got plenty of rest today and I make sure I get 8 hours a night so really I do think Im sick.

They were front squats so if anything I would feel pain in my back as well as other places but its only by my stomach, I do bet Im sick.

And to believe this was like the ONLY nice 3rd day we've had all summer in like a week & a half and I had to sleep in.

@ above actually doing a 3x5(for squats) and 5x5 for everything else with a good weight builds you true strength, by including one rep for deadlifting that is 2x your body weight and for squats one rep that is 1.5x your weight. I train for a specific sport and often do bodyweight like exercises as well, I dont do it to look good.

If you didn't feel some kind of unusual pain when you were squatting I doubt the source of your pain is from that.
