why post this if theree are people who are around 10 or 11 (i.e. Dingus) who may believe in santa, im not saying that he does or doesnt but if someone finds out that hes fake then they might go telling there parents and they are going to say, "Who told you?"

Santa is real. Here is a paper I wrote about Santa just to prove he is real.

Santa Claus was originally Saint Nicholas who was a Christian Bishop of Myra in Lycia, a province which is today in Turkey, in Asia Minor during the fourth century (Arthur 109). Saint Nicholas was a very giving man and is recognized for his generosity to people, especially children who he gave gifts and food to (Arthur 110). Once, Saint Nicholas wanted to help three poor sisters so one night he threw pieces of gold down their chimney. Instead of falling on the floor, they fell inside their stockings that were drying by the fire (Arthur 111). Saint Nicholas also has his own holiday called St. Nicholas Day or the Feast of Nicholas (World Book’s Winter Celebrations 24). St. Nicholas day is often linked along with Christmas because the dates are so close together. Saint Nicholas Day is celebrated on December 5 and December 6 the day he was to have died (World Book’s Winter Celebrations 25). Saint Nicholas day is one of the most important winter holidays in Europe (World Book’s Winter Celebrations 26).
It is said that the idea of Christmas and Santa Claus comes from German folklore saying that Odin, their God, would have a great hunting party. The children leave their shoes out with all types of vegetables in them for Odin’s flying horse to eat, and Odin would reward them with gifts and sweets (“Santa Claus”. The word Santa Claus is derived from Sinterklaas, which is Dutch, and their name for Saint Nicholas (“Santa Claus”. Dutch folklore also says that a boy Saint Nicholas picked up at a market in Myra, named Piter, follows Santa around like an elf would, and helps their Santa Claus (“Santa Claus”.
In the 17th century, who is now Santa Claus was known as Father Christmas to the British and English and was pictured as a man with a large beard dressed in a long green robe (“Santa Claus”. Later on, American, British, and Dutch versions of Santa Claus somewhat merged together and was “Americanized” by dropping the bishop apparel (“Santa Claus”. Santa was Americanized especially through the first real modern image of Santa given in “The Night Before Christmas” (“Santa Claus”. He was established as a plump man with eight reindeer in a red colored costume (“Santa Claus”. Thomas Nast also illustrated his version of Santa Claus in a popular magazine in 1863 (“Santa Claus”. Katherine Lee Bates, also a poet, created Santa Claus’s wife in a poem she wrote in 1889 called "Goody Santa Claus on a Sleigh Ride.”(“Santa Claus” Santa Claus also got his image and colors of red and white partly from Coca Cola advertisements which were seen everywhere (“Santa Claus”. Now in China, Santa Claus is known as a spirit that wears a pointed red hat and goes up to the heavens to report on each person’s behavior and brings down gifts to the good people (Arthur 111). People dressing up as Santa Claus came somewhat from Salvation Army workers trying to raise money at Christmas time for the poor (“Santa Claus”. In the early 20th century, Santa was thought to personally hand-make his toys, but eventually the idea that all of his elves helped him developed (“Santa Claus”.
Santa Claus originated from Saint Nicholas, folklore, and how Santa developed over time. The worldwide figure of Santa Claus was mostly made by Saint Nicholas, the stories passed on through generations, and through the poems, newspapers, and advertisements.
