Playstation Move is an acessory for the Playstation 3 (duh!):p and is used just like a Nintendo Wii controller but with a Motion Controller, a Navigation Controller and the Playstation Eye
The Motion controller; has the X,O,Square and Triangle buttons, vibration feedback, a T button :S, a USB connector and THE SPHERE :p
The Navigation controller; has the D-Pad, L buttons :S (again) and an Analog stick
The Playstion Eye; is basically just a fancy webcam with a microphone on the top
Games;
A few games have been confirmed to be compatible with Playstation Move, including; Little Big Planet 2, SOCOM 4, Tiger Woods PGA 11 and Heavy Rain
Price;
U.K: HMV-£40 for the Motion controller
U.S: Amazon-$49.96 for the Motion controller
My View;
My view on the Playstation Move is that at this moment in time is that it is a rip off of the Wii. I have not used it yet but from pictures, videos and reviews it looks just like a Playstation branded Nintendo Wii, but it does look fun and may have a few added extras.
Kinect is a revolutionary new technology for gaming by having no controller! The Xbox 360 is controlled by a sensor camera picking up movements and transferring them to the Xbox.
Sensor Camera
The sensor picks up movements to the finest detail by detecting 48 skeletal points on the gamers body and transferring these actions into the game.
Games
there have been 25ish games confirmed for Kinect so far including;
Michael Jackson:The Game, Forza with Kinect and NCAA Football 11
Price
U.K:Estimate-Around £100
U.S:Walmart- $148.54 for the Motion Sensor Camera
My View
I think this new technology looks very good and original. I am very excited about it and will no doubt buy it with the Xbox 360 S
Survey:
T3 Readers: Microsoft Kinect better than PlayStation Move
The winner, with a huge 44% of the vote, is the Microsoft Kinect. The Xbox 360 add-on, with its promises of arm-waving lightsaber action, living-room football and Indiana-esque adventure antics was the one you’re most keen on.
Sony PlayStation Move was only a whisker behind though, claiming 42% of the vote. The offer of a mo-cap Tiger Woods 11, alongside Move-compatible Resident Evil 5 and Singstar titles, was clearly enough to whet your gaming appetite.
Lagging behind and showing signs of old age was the Nintendo Wii, which could only muster 14% of the vote. Despite being a phenomenal success since its launch in 2006, the two whippersnappers from Microsoft and Sony look set to steal the show.
My Conlcusion
At the end of the day I think Kinect will prevail over the Nintendo Wii and Playstation Move because of the ease to use and the originality. I have a PS3 and will not buy Playstation Move because i already have a Wii :p so i will get Kinect when I buy my Xbox 360 S
Peace out and enjoy my thread and hopefully i get the reporters job (YN) oh and +rep if you found it a good read
