This is a true story and I am dead serious about it, sorta pissed me off but I guess in the end it is somewhat funny so I am going to tell it..
We had this one maple tree next to our house that over the past few years was getting pretty old and started to die out. So a week ago when summer began my mom thought it would have been a good idea to cut down to tree and plant a new one since the old tree was dead, she insisted me and my father cut it down together as a bonding experience. A little back story, at this time I was also looking for some unique 'objects' to work out with and I was also in need of something else to slam with my sledgehammer besides tires for different angles. So I told her I would cut down the tree only if she would let me keep the stump for a few months in that location to hit on to train my arms and swing and then keep another part of it for flipping/lifting.
Well the other day she went out and brought a lovely tree so here is a picture of that for you guys... (I had to plant it and all btw)

This is also the ORIGINAL location of the said tree described above, same place just new tree...... Well I still wanted a stump to swing around with so she told me I had to move it.
Well it turns out I had to perfect her wishes as she was afraid it would "damage the house" and completely move it into an less than desired location and re PLANT A DEAD STUMP. Who ever heard of planting a dead stump, that is the stupidest thing in the world... I had to take a dirty stump out of the ground, saw out and remove all the roots(which was far from an easy task, took 2 hours+) and then DIG a new area up for my stump like 5ft deep, with a lot of clay and then "plant" it. I had to plant a stump... fml.
So what is better than your newly planted stump? Making the said planted stump look all nice to enhance the yard by removing the dirt after it was re-buried and put wood chips and bricks all around.
This is not a sun dial its a damn stump. Turns out I had to then re-dig out the stump and plant it so the higher end that was pointy faced north, for what reason? Idk.
So here is my newly planted stump and nice and spiffy, which is going to be slammed into splinters and eventually crack in half thus the need to remove it.. *again*.

Found out I could get more tires for free anyways. What a waste.
FML(I guess).
So are any of your parents this extreme with this kind of stuff, I had to move a stump as it was "too close" to the house and I might hit it. Note that when I swung at it, I was facing the shed away from the house.
