Post: how do you get your voice heard by big people

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was wondering how you get people that are big in the business line like IW to listen to you. I have some really good ideas i want to share with big people, but no one ever wants to listen.

Wait...what?
Companies claim they listen to their customers, but this isn't entirely true. They listen to the majority of their customers.

For example, if 1,000 people were to sign a petition to increase sniper base damage, this would not be a big enough result to have the developer change it immediately, but it may come to their attention.

The plain and simple truth is that to get to the big guys, you've got to go through big guys or build up to be one.

Start a petition, start a FaceBook group, start sending e-mails each week, start getting yourself known in the community.

A perfect example of the power 'little' people can have is through the MW2 wishlist posted by either WingsOfRedemption or BlameTruth (I can't remember who) on Machinima.
402 watches the Machinima videos and takes feedback from the comments and the videos themselves.
One of which was the video mentioned above. A user posted their MW2 wishlist, and 402 posted a lot of it in what he has sent off the the coders for the next patch.

You CAN be heard, but you HAVE TO BE determined.

Yes sir!

First you need to build an army, an actual army of people who support your idea. Whether you get them from facebook or NGU really doesn't matter but you need 2 to 3 thousand which isn't that hard to obtain via facebook.

You then find the company's forum, Treyarch has one I know that.

Next you get your army to spam their forum with the same copy paste. Some call this a "raid" but I call it getting your voice heard.

You have to drive them to a point at which ignoring your idea is no longer an option.

HAHAHAHAHA

I used the word little (In inverted commas might I add) because the word "big" was used to describe companies that design games.

Here's to Loonyology!
To get your ideas accross to a company such as IW, you need to have a CV which shows you have experience in this industry. You can't just walk in, or post on their wall and expect a response.

I run a company, and i get CV's from people everyday. Now when i'm looking through their CV's, if they don't have experience in our industry then i literally throw it away.

IW will be no different. They will not listen to you if you cannot back up anything you are suggesting with proof you know what you're on about. Anyone can think of several things they think might improve a game, but putting that into practice is the hard part.

I'd suggest getting some experience under your belt, and connecting yourself with the right people who can help promote/sell you to others who will in turn mention you to more people. You get nowhere in life without connections, the more people you know in higher places the easier it is for you in the long run.
