Wait...what?
If we're looking at this in a whole, the hacks coming out are exploits in game coding, not the PS3 system.
If you look over the forums it's clear that it's not the PS3 that people are trying to hack, it's the game itself.
If Hunter128 or theUnknown post a method to do their hack, it may involve the PS3, so then they might get interested.
In reality though, if Sony joined they would be found out.
From the quizing questions they'd ask etc. As soon as that happens, I'm sure an I.P ban can be arranged to keep all hacks working

If Sony cared that much they could easily press charges against the site for exploiting its system/games and have it shut down, but they just don't care enough. Especially since... well there's really nothing here helping them take down hackers. The hacks posted here are mediocre at best, nothing severely endangering Sony or its system. If anything, Microsoft should be the ones worrying.

True but i think the whole decrypting hardrive subject is against the TOS.
