Not happy with Avatar dominating the charts in both 2009 and 2010, James Cameron is making a play for the 2012 box office crown with the re-release of the phenomenally successful Titanic.
The writer-director has long discussed converting his watery opus into three dimensions, but the LA Times is now reporting that the film has a release date.
In an article about the star-studded 100th birthday bash for Gloria Stuart - who plays elderly Rose in the film - the paper let slip that Titanic 3D will hit in April 2012, the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking.
So will you be celebrating the anniversary with some 3D Billy Zane action, or do you think Cameron should leave well enough alone?
Can´t wait to see it! I loved the Titanic and I Can´t wait for this. I hope it´s just displayed in HD not that they changed the screenplay.

And I'm not sure if he's going to totally remake it or just add 3D effects. Either way, if he is going to remake it, I'm sure it will be as good as Avatar was
