(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); One day I happened to call a man on business whom I will probably never talk to again, but this day God wanted me to talk to him.
He was head of security at a company that had invited the remaining members of a company who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their office space. With his voice full of awe, he told me stories of why these people were alive and their counterparts were dead.

All the stories were just little things.

You might know about the head of the company who got in late that day because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning.
He took the various means to get to work, but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive.

So, Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a ringing telephone... all the little things that annoy me... I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment. May God continue to bless you with all those annoying little things.

A Tiny Voice Inside

Have you ever been just sitting there and all of a sudden you feel like doing something nice for someone you care for...
THAT'S GOD... He talks to you through the Holy Spirit.

Have you ever been down and out and nobody seems to be around for you to talk to...
THAT'S GOD... He wants you to talk to Him.

Have you ever been thinking about somebody that you haven't seen in a long time and then next thing you know you see them or receive a phone call from them...
THAT'S GOD... there is no such thing as "coincidence."

Have you ever received something wonderful that you didn't even ask for, like money in the mail, a debt that had mysteriously been cleared, or a coupon to a department store where you had just seen something you wanted, but couldn't afford...
THAT'S GOD... He knows the desires of your heart...

Have you ever been in a situation and you had no clue how it is going to get better, but now you look back on it...
THAT'S GOD... He passes us through tribulation to see a brighter day...

I was thinking of You! Please pass this along and share the Power of God... In all that we do, we should totally give HIM thanks and our blessings will continue to multiply.
This was sent to me by a close friend and please pass it on to all of your good friends.

Keep this going for an eternity.

NOW THAT'S GOD!!

It's an interesting thread, and surely a hopeful message.

I am by no means religious, but that seriously doesn't mean you have to act like some angst-filled thirteen year old who thinks he's rebelling by flaming any religious message that comes across. Sure, I don't agree with all of it, but I definitely think it's thought-provoking. Grow up, guys.

Thread started good then fell apart, I don't believe in God. Personally I think it's down to fate whether they are alive or not but they are interesting stories. It does make you think though.............

Daddy's home.
I agree with Jesse, I'm not religious either but it makes you think. There have been times when if I didn't do this one thing something could have happened, then again it might not have, but I'll stick with the not have happened and not founding out. I personally don't believe in luck, although I do call things luck or lucky. I just think that everything happens there and then, I don't think that your life is planned out, it just happens for some reason. It could be fate or coincidence or even luck but no one knows and will possibly never know.

excellent question. "who is GOD" and in my short life that question is one that has buzzled me (although i get A's in RE). God, has always been here, there was never a start to god, and will never be an end. he is the creator of life. now, what do i mean be creator of life? did he really build the earth in 7 days. no. the earth was created by the big bang around 14 billion years ago. the atoms and every scientific particle known to man formed to make us what we are today. coincidence? or what there a greater force that wanted everything to happen the way it did. God is the holy spirit. the warm feeling you get when you are around the ones you love, the smile of your face when you get what you desire. and one question that really buzzled me was. "do miricles still happen in the 21st century?" the answer is Yes. they still do happen, but not like it did in jesus' time. what do i consider a miricle? a son giving his mother or father a kidney. that ack of kindness is a miricle. and it was God the holy spirit who wanted that person do that. i hope this helps you believe in some way. without faith, there is no hope.

Using the F word and not starting the sentence with a capital letter sure make you sound smart.

Oh and your spelling, can't forget that.

I am going to have to respectfully disagree.

In your first story, hypothetically, what if one guy was beating his wife and as a result was late for work. He missed the Twin Towers falling and his life is saved. Is that God? Should he now beat his wife even more because it is where God wanted him to be?

You list all these positive things and attribute them to God but what about all the negatives? Is it God that lets parents watch their children die young? Is it God that allows millions to be malnourished in the world? God I hope not.

Note: This post is not meant to attack any religion in anyway. I just disagree with the view OP has taken on the subjectHappy
