Sony and Nintendo are both working on large 3D pushes, but one in ten of the U.K. audience won't be able to experience it. The Eyecare Trust released a report that claims 12% of U.K. citizens have a visual impairment that prevents them from processing 3D images. The report goes onto state that this disorder can also lead to adverse effects on one's ability to read or watch a screen.
Edge notes that this report coincides with Sony taking its own steps to prevent eye strain in light of its 3D push. The updated Terms of Service warns to take regular breaks and consult a doctor if the player feels negative effects. It also warns parents that they should consult a doctor before allowing their kids to play 3D games.

These kinds of warnings will probably do little to slow down the tide of 3D technology, especially as companies like Sony make it a priority. Nintendo had previously issued similar warnings regarding children playing the 3DS, but the march towards the technology is still going strong.

So, with this fad about to hit full-swing can you guys "process" 3D? I'm pretty sure I am one of these 12%, I never understood the appeal of 3D and now I'm wondering if this is why.

For example, when I watch 3D nothing "jumps out of the screen" like it's advertised, instead everything just looks sort of blurry. Like I can see the original image, then red, blue and green outlines of it around the screen.

I'm not sure, but is that what you guys see or am I "visually impaired"? lol but seriously comment below, I'm rather curious =D
