(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have become restless with newskool games recently. When i go online i feel blasted with teenage angst & i'm still trying to recover from whiplash. I miss the saying "i play winner!" there was not much crying going on about loosing, it was that you had to give up your controller to the next person waiting in line.

I miss the early 90's PC gaming when DOOM ruled all shooter games & Duke Nukem was getting all the women you wish you could.

My dad would set up 5 computer in the house and host a lan party for us kids. Ah those were the days yelling down the stairs at my father for SOMEHOW screen cheating...Oh screen cheating why have you come and gone so fast! Back when maybe all you had was a 64, noobtubing wasn't an option-- it was who was the fastest at picking Oddjob before anyone else did.

I do admit, CD discs are more conventional on my lungs.. But i miss the sweet victory when you could get your gaming system to work with just a swift blow into the cartridge...maybe a jiggle of the wires or two & make sure your OP plugs are in the right spaces.

Oldskool gamers, we should all remember these days--because we all know pwning noobs online isn't better than being undefeated by your bestfriend sitting right next to you-- he can talk all the shit he wants- but we know who is the best Smile

Sad really..

'Remember the good ol' Ps2 days'? Ps2 is FAR from Old School... Ps3 will only be 4 years old in November. Sega Genesis, NES, and SNES is where it's at. When I think old school, I think of games that came in cartridge form. After years of being beatin and played all the labels had worn off and maybe a few had titles written in permanent marker... when it was required that you sit within a few feet of the television due to these things called cords attaching controllers to the console.

I actually fell in love with Moonlight Sonata because of Earthworm Jim. I think it was the level were you are a salamander, the entire screen was dark accept a small ring of light around you and if you hit the walls he screamed.

Or bouncing puppies (i think) off a trampoline to safety.... ahhh
