(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Debate of the week #1.

Topic: Let's start with something easy. Is it morally acceptable to let thousands die, for the better good?

Specific Rules: Keep the Iraq war out of this, that wasn't for the greater good, it was for the fattening of politician's wallets.

This will draw heavily from wars, but no racist remarks. Don't act like a total douche, "OMFG COMMIES DIE WTF RUSSKIES DESERVED TO BE OWNT" kind of comments are not accepted.

If you can't make an intelligent argument and not look like a stupid shit, I'll have your post deleted.

Start debating. Once someone takes a side I'll take the other to jump-start the debate.

The rewards (Hopefully haxed from Outie):

25 Rep OR 25K vBux for first place
15 Rep OR 15K vBux for second
10 Rep OR 10K vBux for third

K, NOW start debating.

I'm still no, if you think about Afghanistan the States said "Hey, let's help them out". Years later, how many US soldiers have died in that war? How much have they helped? How many Canadians have died?

They go "Weeeeeellllll more people died, but we're staying in it anyway because we think we're helping". They assume they're saving, but they're wasting.

I agree when you say the first bomb on Hiroshima was necessary, Nagasaki was not.

That is completely true, on the other hand we did succeed on showing the soviet not to **** with us, who knows the cold war might have ended differently if we didnt. Although tojo was still being ignorant after the first A Bomb, doesn't really matter anymore though thats in the past and it made us the strongest nation in the world :cool:

Everyone thinks killing is right, the terrorists think that killing is the right thing, so what makes us killing people any better? When you see people dying on the news, everyone's so sad. Well, I say no shit buddy, you send them in to a country with guns to run around and shoot everything that moves. No wonder they hate the States.
