This is a small guide on how to survive in the desert
1) Before you go take LOADS of water to keep you hydrated don't take any other drinks e.g Beer, Cola and Milk, Water may not taste the nicest but that's the best liquid to drink if you want to keep hydrated.
2) You will need PLENTY of food so you don't starve to death, that includes Cereal Bars, Bread and Trail Mix so you are full of Proteins and Vitamins.Take more than enough food, because you can get hungry and eat more than expected in a ago.
3) Pack loads of warm and cool clothes, make sure you have LIGHT colored clothes because the sun will absorb heat and if your wearing light clothes it will reflect the sunlight which will make you cooler. Pack thick warm clothes because at night it can get up to -20 in the desert at night to take thick warm clothes to sleep in at night.
4) Take head equipment to keep you prone from sandstorms e.g Goggles, Bandana's, Dust Mask and anything else that will protect your mouth and eyes.
5) Travel as far as you can during day and when your feeling tired, go to sleep because your better walking at night because its much cooler during the night and its very hot during the day and take a LIGHT so when your traveling at night you can see where your going.
6) Take a tent or a sleeping bag for sleep because you'll need the shelter if the weather gets bad and obviously you'll sleep in the tent or sleeping bag.
Extra Tips :
1)Expose yourself to hot and cold places before you go so you have a idea of what the desert will be like.
2)If your on a mountain go on the north side so you can get as much shade as possible.
3)Remember the symptoms of de-hydration before you go.
